Recent ActivityScholastic Bowl (also called "Quiz Bowl" or "Academic Bowl") is a fun, fast-paced academic competition for students. In match play, two teams of five players vie to answer the most questions quickly and correctly, using an electronic buzzer system. The questions cover a wide range of topics, such as literature, history, mathematics, pop culture, geography, music, science, etc.
Students who enjoy Jeopardy, "Trivial Pursuit," reading, and those who simply get joy out of increasing their knowledge often participate in this activity.
The Scholastic Bowl season runs from October thru March, with practices twice a week during the first semester. Competitions begin in January, with Conference taking place in late February, followed by Regional, Sectional, and State competitions in March.
